Romanejo Oak Tree
This tree is located 3.7 Km from Cabezabellosa on the road to Torno, on the side of the mountain range which slopes down to the River Jerte. The landscape is made up of chestnut and oak trees, many of them large, which form a green mantle under the protection of the rocky crests of the mountains.
The Romarejo oak tree (Quercus pyrenaica Willd) was added to the list of Singular Trees of Extremadura on 6th March 2001.It is the largest oak tree in Extremadura with a height of 20.5m, a diameter of 32m and it is estimated to be 600 years old.
